Provisional Psychologist (Eight Mile Plains)
About Monisha Monisha is a Provisional Psychologist at our Eight Mile Plains Clinic. She has over seven years of experience in Bangalore, India, as a special educator and assistant professor. Her work includes developing Individualised Education Plans for neurodivergent children, conducting inclusion-focused workshops, and teaching Psychology at University. She has also taught Positive Psychology at Griffith University, Mount Gravatt. Holding a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology, her doctoral research led to the development of an educational intervention that significantly improved the attention and working memory in primary school children. Special Interests She has a strong interest in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, and relationship concerns, including couples therapy. Approach to Therapy She is passionate about mental health awareness and enjoys working with clients across the lifespan. She uses a client centered approach, creating a safe space for clients to be their authentic selves and facilitates sessions that focus on building emotional intelligence. She believes in customising a therapeutic approach based on the clients specific needs and goals. Relevant Professional Development Training Outside the Clinic Monisha enjoys playing the piano, singing, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
