About Emily

Emily is a Speech Pathologist working at the Eight Mile Plains clinic who graduated from The University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours). She is dedicated to providing holistic and evidence-based therapy in service of supporting children to participate in all aspects of life. Emily is passionate about building positive and trusting relationships with her clients and endeavors to make therapy fun! She understands the busy life that comes with children and enjoys working with parents and carers as well.

Special Interests

Emily has an interest in early intervention, working with neurodiverse children, and with school aged children in areas of speech, language, literacy and fluency (stuttering).

Approach to Therapy

Emily takes a strengths-based approach, working collaboratively with children and families to achieve functional goals that support meaningful communication in everyday life. She recognises the importance of building genuine connection with each child and their family.

Outside the Clinic

Outside of work, you can find Emily going cafe hopping with friends, drawing, reading, playing video games and watching movies with her cat, Cashew.
