Lisa is a certified Speech Language Pathologist dedicated to helping children communicate with confidence. With a compassionate, relationship-based approach, Lisa likes to work closely with individuals and their families to support meaningful progress in speech, language, literacy, communication, and feeding. Lisa holds a degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland and is a practicing member of Speech Pathology Australia. Lisa has experience supporting a wide range of communication needs, including speech sound disorders and childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), early language, school-aged language and literacy, complex communication and engagement, myofunctional therapy and responsive feeding. At the heart of Lisa’s practice is a belief that therapy should be relationship-based, practical, engaging, and tailored to a child’s individual differences. Sessions are designed to be functional and motivating, with a strong focus on real-life communication and collaboration with families, educators, and other professionals. Lisa is committed to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with current research to ensure her clients receive high-quality, effective, and evidence-based therapy. Lisa possesses a basic certificate in DIR Floortime and is trained in Learn to Play therapy. She has completed professional development in responsive feeding methods and is trained in myofunctional therapy. Lisa has extensive experience treating children with severe speech sound disorder and is passionate about resolving these in a timely manner. In line with best practice, Lisa offers intensive support for children diagnosed with CAS. Lisa is passionate about creating a supportive and welcoming environment where clients and their families feel understood, empowered, and supported to reach their communication goals.
