About Amanda Amanda is a warm and attuned Provisional Psychologist, committed to providing non-judgmental, compassionate and professional support to young people and their families. Amanda holds a Master of Professional Psychology and is trained in psychological assessment and therapeutic support. Her person-centered and collaborative approach prioritises a thorough understanding of each young person and ensures that support is tailored to individual’s unique strengths, needs, interests and goals. Amanda has experience supporting a range of presentations including anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, disruptive behaviors and school-related challenges. Amanda especially enjoys working collaboratively with the broader family system, recognising the important role that family and other significant figures play in a young person’s life. Special Interests Approach to Therapy Amanda’s therapeutic approach is grounded, curious and strengths based. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based psychological approaches including CBT, ACT, Mindfulness and other developmentally appropriate therapies. Amanda also incorporates a strong appreciation for the broader family, school, and social systems that influence a young person’s wellbeing and functioning and takes a holistic approach in formulation and treatment. Relevant Professional Development Training Outside the Clinic Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, exercising and hanging out with her husky, Sina.
