Jade Shaw

Jade is our Senior Occupational Therapist working at the Upper Coomera Clinic. Jade believes in using a strengths based approach to acknowledge the positive qualities in our children and to build on these areas to support children through their greatest challenges. Jade ensures that her interactions with children and their families are person-centred by incorporating families in goal-setting and encouraging their involvement in sessions with their children. Therapy is largely focussed on capacity building to empower families and supports to carry over and implement strategies in everyday life to bring about the best possible outcomes for their children.

Jade’s professional interests include Sensory Integration, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Early Childhood Development. Future goals include completion of ADOS and DIR Floortime training, and gaining experience in the field of animal-assisted therapy.

At home, Jade is a mum to two daughters under 5 and the play never stops! Her hobbies outside of work include going to the beach, going on nature walks and spending time with her girls at the local playground.
