Senior Speech Pathologist

Silvia is a neurodiversity-affirming Speech Pathologist at the Eight Mile Plains clinic who obtained her Bachelor of Psychological Studies at Griffith University, followed by her Master of Speech Pathology Studies from the University of Queensland. Silvia loves working with children, their families and other professionals within a multidisciplinary framework, and strongly believes in providing a holistic, functional and neuro-affirming therapy approach.

She has a strong passion for supporting children to maximise their full communication potential. Silvia is an energetic, bubbly and empathetic person who enjoys building relationships with clients and their families, making sure that therapy is fun. She enjoys working with children in the areas of ASD, early intervention, literacy, feeding, speech sounds/articulation, as well as preschool and primary school language.

Silvia is trained in Sounds-Write (an evidence-based literacy program), Hanen 'More Than Words', feeding (including SOS Approach to Feeding), and Key Word Sign. She is also fluent in Croatian/Bosnian/Serbian. When she’s not at work, her time is spent chasing around her fluffy Samoyed named Goose, as well as daydreaming about being back on her snowboard in Japan.
